Scheid Family Wines
The Scheid family started out as grapegrowers in Monterey County in 1972 and has been a conscientious steward of the land ever since.
Committed to sustainability from grapes to glass, Scheid is currently certified through CCSW, SIP and GlobalG.A.P. Scheid's state-of-the-art winery is entirely powered by 100% renewable wind energy generated by a 400-foot-tall wind turbine, which also provides power for an additional 125 local homes.
In 2019, Scheid was recognized with the California Green Medal Environment Award. In 2020, it achieved its first organic milestone with the certification of the White Flower Vineyard. Scheid’s focus on organic continues with the national launch of its first organic wine brand, Grandeur, and the certification of additional organic acreage with the 2023 harvest.
Sustainability is an integral part of Scheid Family Wines’ company vision. It is an ongoing commitment to continuous improvement, brought to life with every acre, bottle and glass of wine.
